[xxxiv], [1]-522 pp. Title-page printed in red and black. This copy bound without the frontispiece. Bound in later (eighteenth-century?) full brown calf, boards decoratively ruled in blind, spine ruled in gilt and blind in compartments, later blanks, five double raised bands, brown gilt morocco lettering label, marbled endleaves, all edges stained red. FIRST EDITION IN ENGLISH OF THE PROPHECIES OF NOSTRADAMUS, TRANSLATED BY THEOPHILIUS DE GARENCIERES.
Text in English and French, with translations and explanations by de Garencieres.
Condition
Front board professionally re-attached, some wear, scuffing, color correction to binding, text toned, soiled, foxed, with some occasional marginal worming, upper edge of text trimmed a bit close with some occasional minor loss. Still, very good.
