[SNUFF BOX]. ?Britannia? Snuff Box. [Battersea: Bilston, ca. 1800s]. A beautifully painted Bilston enamel box, with a pink base, the hinged lid rimmed in copper. Approximately 2 x 1 ? x 1?. Minor occasional wear. Fine. The scene on the lid represents ?Britannia,? the spirit of British victory at sea overlooking a British warship in the distance. This box most likely was issued to commemorate the Trafalgar victory under the command of Lord Nelson.
