THOMPSON, John (1934 - 2019). The Great Tomsoni's Stage Costume. A set of white tie and tails custom tailored for Johnny Thompson’s Las Vegas headlining magic act, “The Great Tomsoni & Co.,” consisting of the tailored jacket with his name embroidered over the inside breask pocket, a white dress shirt (monogrammed "T.G.T" for "The Great Tomsoni") with snap closure between legs, a white cummerbund, white bow tie, matching black pants, and the red satin ribbon/sash complementing the shirt.

Sold together with the other essential elements of the act, including a black vest with velcro closure, several dove harnesses (in red, white, and silver), and a number of silk handkerchiefs. 

Outwardly this may appear to be a simple set of black tails and accessories, but to audiences worldwide, this costume played a key role in what was one of the funniest (and most skillful) platform magic acts of the second half of the twentieth century.
