Women’s Vernacular Photobooth Portrait Archive (Approx. 60+ Images), 1930s–1970s. A large and varied group of mid-20th century vernacular portrait photographs depicting women across several decades, primarily in photobooth and small studio formats. The lot includes a wide range of sitters, from young girls to elderly women, with strong representation of 1940s–1960s hairstyles, dress, and expression. Many images are classic photobooth strips or single exposures with curtain backdrops, alongside modest studio portraits, including a small number of hand-tinted examples. Several sequences capture sitters in multiple poses, showing subtle changes in expression and gesture, and a few groups of related images appear to depict the same individual across successive exposures. The collection reflects a broad cross-section of everyday life and identity, with a candid, unselfconscious quality characteristic of vernacular photography. Sizes vary, generally ranging from approximately 1 1/2 x 1 1/2 inches up to about 3 1/2 x 5".
